Ever flown home from Vegas? Two or three happy
folks...and 100 who swiped their ATM card one time too many. It's a major downer.
Flying is stressful enough, as is. From invasive security checks to weather delays to peanut bags which refuse to open.
But then there's Northwest Airlines. In the industry's race to annoy and delay its customers, they have forged new ground.
Yesterday, Northwest flight 1190 from (Vegas to Detroit) was cancelled... due to a pilot's foul mouthed phone call. (For the full story from Reuters, click here.)
As sad as the flight home from Vegas is. Imagine if you were flying back to Detroit... where the American dream is vaporizing as foreclosures mount and auto workers are graciously beheaded. (Hey, they don't call it severance for nothin'.)
Northwest's solution to this mess?
- Apologize
- Put the folks up for one more night.
- Fly them home 24 hours later.
So if you want a FREE night in Las Vegas... just tick off your pilot. One free night for every F-Bomb he drops.
