In a move that is sure to send rich old men grumbling into their monogrammed hankies, Ohio State University has released a study which negates the link between intelligence and wealth.
An AFP report, quoted OSU research scientist, Jay Zagorsky:
"Your IQ has really no relationship to your wealth. And being very smart does not protect you from getting into financial difficulty."
While the study offers hope for those "duller tools in the shed," it sadly confirms that those of us on our way up the ladder of life will NEVER escape buffoonery entirely.
As a side note, my word-of-the-day calendar featured "Nepotism," a fitting match for this morning's story. In case you're curious, the word comes from the Italian nepotismo...which basically translates to, "Hey, what's wrong with appointing my nephew?"
